- Bighorn River. A trout fisherman’s dream, this stream is packed with rainbow, cutthroat and brown trout. It’s also a popular destination for white-water rafting.
- Boysen State Park. This is a great place to set up camp. With overnight facilities, as well as great trout and walleye fishing, a swimming beach, a marina and tons of water sports, there are plenty of activities to choose for the whole family.
- Thermopolis. The byway ends at milepost 134 just north of this city. It is here you can experience the largest mineral hot springs in the world in Hot Springs State Park. You’ll also enjoy hiking, cooling ponds, a swinging foot bridge across the Big Horn River, and more.
