"THRIFTY TURNS 50" SWEEPSTAKES - October 2008 OFFICIAL RULES
ELIGIBILITY. "Thrifty Turns 50" Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") is open to legal U.S. residents, 21 years of age or older, with a valid U.S. driver's license. Employees of Thrifty Rent-A-Car System, Inc., its affiliates and franchisees, and their immediate families and households, together with any person involved in the production, development or handling of this Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate.
HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Sweepstakes begins at 1:00 A.M. (Central Time) on October 1, 2008 and ends at 5:00 P.M. (Central Time) on October 30, 2008. To enter, visit www.thrifty.com and follow the Sweepstakes entry instructions on the website. Free Internet access and email accounts are available at many public libraries. Only one entry per person and per email address. Entries must be received by 5:00 P.M. (Central Time) on October 30, 2008.
SIXTY DAILY PRIZES. Two (2) winners will be selected at random each day ("Daily Winner") beginning October 1, 2008 through October 30, 2008 from all eligible entries received by 5:00 P.M. (Central Time) that day with each Daily Winner receiving a $50 gasoline card. Daily Winners will be notified by email on or about day of drawing and via telephone, provided the telephone number is set forth on the Entry Form. Daily Winners are eligible to win the Third Place, Second Place and Grand Prizes. ARV for all Daily prizes is $3,000.
THIRD PLACE PRIZE. One (1) third place prize will randomly be selected from all eligible entries received by 5:00 P.M. (Central Time) on October 30, 2008 with the third place prize winner receiving gasoline cards valuing $250 in the total and three (3) free days of car rental from Thrifty for pickup in the U.S. at the Thrifty location of their choice subject to the prize information in Section 7 below. ARV for Third Place Prize is $425.
SECOND PLACE PRIZE. One (1) second place prize will randomly be selected from all eligible entries received by 5:00 P.M. (Central Time) on October 30, 2008 with the second place prize winner receiving gasoline cards valuing $750 in the total and one (1) free week of car rental from Thrifty for pickup in the U.S. at the Thrifty location of their choice subject to the prize information in Section 7 below. ARV for Second Place Prize is $1,150.
GRAND PRIZE. One (1) grand prize will randomly be selected from all eligible entries received by 5:00 P.M. (Central Time) on October 30, 2008 with the grand prize winner receiving gasoline cards valuing $1,000 in the total, one (1) free week of car rental from Thrifty for pickup in the U.S. at the Thrifty location of their choice subject to the prize information in Section 7 below, and two (2) Southwest Airlines tickets. The two (2) Southwest Airlines tickets shall bear the date of issue and air travel must be concluded prior to July 25, 2009, on which date the tickets automatically expire. The expiration date shall not be extended, and tickets will not be refundable or redeemable for cash or credit at any time, nor will tickets be replaced if lost or stolen. Tickets are valid on Southwest-operated, published and scheduled service only. Tickets may not be sold to a third party and no substitutions are allowed. ARV for Grand Prize is $2,600.
PRIZE INFORMATION. The odds for the Daily, Second Place, Third Place and Grand Prizes depend on the number of entries. Sweepstakes open to at least 100,000,000 Internet users. The Second Place Prize winner, Third Place prize winner and Grand Prize winner will be selected at random on October 31, 2008 from all eligible entries received by 5:00 P.M. (Central Time) on October 30, 2008. Second Place Prize winner, Third Place prize winner and Grand Prize winner will be notified by email on or about day of drawing and via telephone, provided the telephone number is set forth on the Entry Form. The Third Place Prize for three (3) free car rental days and the Second Place Prize and Grand Prize for one (1) free week of car rental is limited to an economy, compact, intermediate, full size vehicle, SUV or minivan car class, subject to availability and certain blackout periods, and expressly excludes premium, luxury, beyond luxury, specialty or Style Series car class vehicles. The car rental must be completed by October 31, 2009. Standard rental qualifications and mileage restrictions will apply. Taxes, gas, insurance, additional driver fees, airport fees, recoupment fees and other optional or additional expenses are winner's responsibility. Potential winners must sign affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release where permitted. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. No prize transfer or substitution.
CONDITIONS. By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions of the Sponsor, Thrifty Rent-A-Car System, Inc., which are final. Sweepstakes submissions and materials void if incomplete or not obtained legitimately, or if they contain errors. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, stolen or misdirected transmissions or mail or for any interruptions in or failure of any electronic means of communication, or any injury or damage to any computer resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes. Entry is deemed submitted by the natural person who is the authorized holder of the transmitting email address at the time of entry. If, in Sponsor's sole opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the Sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing to award the prize using all entries received as of the termination date. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on the home page of Thrifty.com. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value should featured prize become unavailable. Each potential winner may be required to respond within five (5) days of sending of notification to the email address listed on his/her entry; failure to respond when requested may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
