Have a few business trips planned this summer? While there's no denying that it's nice to get out of the office once in a while, some cities are certainly more exciting than others. Here's a sneak peak at the best cities in America for summer business travel:

Chicago
An important business hub for the Midwest, Chicago also happens to be a favorite travel destination during the summertime. Chicago should definitely be avoided during the winter, but warmer months mean excellent outdoor eating and plenty of festivals, not to mention great shopping.

San Diego
This Southern California city by the sea makes business a priority, but has plenty to offer after client meetings have finished for the day. Head to the beach for a quick dip in the ocean, stroll through the Gaslamp Quarter or catch a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants that serve fresh seafood.

Twin Cities
Yet another Midwestern metropolis that should be avoided at all costs during the winter, the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul) are a favorite destination among business travelers during the summer. Take a leisurely walk around Lake Calhoun, have happy hour drinks at a rooftop restaurant or catch a Twins game at Target Field with colleagues.
