1. | Never pack your valuables in your checked bags – always carry them in your carryon bags. |
2. | If you are traveling with someone – pack some of your clothes in each others suitcase. If one of the bags is missing you still have a few days worth of clothing. |
3. | Passport – make three copies of your passport and leave one copy with a friend or relative and one with your travel agent. The third one should be hidden somewhere in your luggage. |
4. | A good way to keep your clothes from getting wrinkled – wrap them in the plastic from the cleaners. |
5. | Always remember to bring a copy of your drug and eyeglass prescriptions. |
6. | Never pack jewelry in your checked baggage. Carry it with you. |
7. | Traveling overseas, invest in a good fanny pack and keep it covered when wearing. |
8. | Film, remember to pack it in your carryon bags. |
9. | For International Travel, get an ATM card – the exchange is better when you use an ATM. A telephone card from one of the warehouse clubs is the best deal. |
10. | Remember to stop your mail, newspapers and ask someone to watch your home. Leave a radio on low to a talk radio station somewhere in your home. |
