TULSA, Okla. – Thrifty Car Rental, the world’s leading car rental franchise organization and a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: DTG), has opened stores for the first time in Chile, Nicaragua and Indonesia.
“Thrifty continues to make great progress breaking into new markets internationally,” said Bob Erickson, Vice President of International Franchise Operations for Thrifty Car Rental. “The addition of Chile, Nicaragua and Indonesia brings us another step closer to realizing the terrific potential that exists for Thrifty in South America and the Asia Pacific region.”
In Chile, Thrifty premiers with six airport locations, including in-terminal facilities at Antofagasta, Calama, Concepcion, Los Angeles and Temuco airports. At Santiago Airport, Thrifty will operate a location near the airport.
In Nicaragua, Thrifty opens three new locations, including an in-terminal facility at Augusto Sandino International Airport, a store in downtown Managua and one at the Hotel Consiguina in Chinandega.
In Indonesia, the new locations include stores in Jakarta and Bali.
