Indianapolis, Indiana - Thrifty Car Rental, a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: DTG) today announced the opening of a new suburban car rental location at 1240 East Stop 11 Road in Greenwood.
Owned and operated by franchisees Brad and Dolores Meyer of Mel-RAC, LLC, the new facility is opening due to increased growth in the Southside area. "We're excited to be in Greenwood, and look forward to taking an active role in the community," said Meyer. The Meyers have been Thrifty franchisees in the Indianapolis area for four years.
Grand Opening Celebration July 15
The new store will open July 15 with a Grand Opening celebration that kicks off with breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Prize drawings for free weekend car rentals and hotel and dinner packages will take place at 8:45 a.m. The event is open to the public.
Hours of operation for the Greenwood store are from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday; and closed Sunday. Thrifty features a full line of DaimlerChrysler vehicles, from economy through full-size cars, as well as minivans, full-size pickups, convertibles, and SUVs.
Mel-RAC, LLC operates six Thrifty Car Rental locations in the metropolitan Indianapolis area, including in-terminal at Indianapolis International Airport, an off-airport store at 2360 Distributor Drive and three other suburban locations.
