Art, music and culture

You can enjoy the Seattle Art Museum, located downtown, at no charge on the first Thursday of every month. At the Frye Art Museum, you can always enjoy featured paintings and sculptures for free. In July and August, there are free public concerts put on regularly at noon in the downtown parks and plazas area. Music ranges from classical to rock! For a historic look at the city, head over to the Museum of History and Industry, which is free the first Thursday of every month as well.

Outdoors

Of course, there is plenty of fun to be had in the Emerald City when it comes to the great outdoors. Take your Seattle car rental and head on out to one of the many parks surrounding the city. One of the best has got to be Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, which is located in the Pioneer Square Historic District. Explorers will enjoy a trip to the Washington Park Arboretum, where there are 230 acres of native plants. Tours here are free every first and third Sunday of the month at 1:00 p.m. from January through November.
