Rainforest of the Panama Canal
The Panama Canal rainforests are the most accessible pristine rainforests in the world. Just minutes from Panama City in the
former American Canal Zone, now Soberania National Park, they are home to exotic nature and outstanding ecotourism attractions.
A veritable treasure of nature, these 50,000 acres of pristine rainforest host 105 species of mammals, 525 species of birds
and 124 species of reptiles and amphibians. Features: Birdwatching tours on the Pipeline Road and at the Cloud Forest, Embera Indigenous Village and Aerial Tram and Exhibits
at Gamboa Resort.
Panama Canal
The great Panama Canal is a must. The lock-and-lake waterway remains one of mankind's greatest endeavors and is an engineering
marvel. At times, a ship will squeeze through the locks with less than a meter to spare on each side. It is a sight you will
never forget. You can do the partial canal crossing every Saturday of the month, except those Saturdays when the full day
crossing takes place. The physical areas of the Canal are: Gatun Lake, where Barro Colorado Island is located in the middle
of the lake, Galliard Cut, the Locks, Balboa & Cristobal and Gamboa.
Bocas del Toro
Where have 12 countries filmed their Survivor series including France, Spain, Italy and Russia? The answer is the exotic Bocas
del Toro Archipelago de Bocas in the Caribbean of West Panama near the border with Costa Rica. Classic Caribbean aqua blue
water fringed beaches washing up against nature dense rainforest and a low key friendly town- these are some of the unique
attractions of the islands of Panama's Bocas del Toro archipelago. Bocas town itself has a rich history, a lively nightlife
and a friendly, mostly English speaking population.Like the rest of Panama Bocas is even blessed by nature- no hurricanes
ever touch these shores, as they do the Central American neighbors. Add to that relatively low prices and you've got the "Boca's
Boom."
Chiriqui Highlands
The extraordinary Chiriqui Province in West Panama on the border of Costa Rica offers a wide variety of attractions including
highland and beach destinations, Indian cultures, idyllic retirement communities, world class rafting, kayaking, birding and
hiking. David- The Capital City of Chiriqui Province, is the perfect place to overnight on your way to Panama City or other Chiriqui destinations. Conveniently located on the
Panamerican Highway, it is 45 minutes from the border with Costa Rica and 6.5 hours from Panama City.
David is a great place to shop, David has an American Price Costco, American style supermarkets that stock with just about
everything you would find in a supermarket stateside and a brand new shopping mall. It also hosts an international fair every
March. The David Airport serves Panama City and the surrounding areas.
San Blas Islands
The San Blas Islands offer two unbeatable attractions: Caribbean islands of stunning beauty and an opportunity to visit the
villages of the San Blas Indians to learn about their fascinating culture and way of life. The San Blas Islands were selected
as one of the top two "best cruising destinations in the world" by Cruising World and Le Monde Voyage magazines. CBS’s Survivor
program chose one typically idyllic San Blas island, Sapbeinega for a “reward” party for the Survivor competitors. The islands
have been the subject of numerous National Geographic articles over the years- indeed this is an experience “right out of
the pages of National Geographic.” The snorkeling is superb and close by-often just a jump from your seaside cabin. Coral
reefs are gardens in a multitude of colors and shapes where few have been.
 Panama Beaches
If you love beaches but hate the crowds, Panama is the place for you. Sun and Sand in Panama means non-stop picture perfect
beaches along 1000 miles of coast on both the Caribbean and the Pacific and more than 1500 islands. Choose from a wide variety
of beach venues from all-inclusive resorts and exotic island retreats to simple thatched beachfront cabins.

Panama Viejo
Panama has one of Latin America's richest histories, with impressive pre-Colonial Indian cultures, as the crossroads of the
Spanish empire, the prime target of history's most famous. If you are a history buff or just enjoy historical tours it is
worthwhile to hire a tour operator to give you an extended historical tour of the Panama City's historical sites in Panama
Vieja (the original Panama City) and colonial Casco Viejo ( Old City) sector. Panama Viejo was the gateway city for the Spanish
conquest of Latin America, once a thriving city of 10,000. Today's extensive ruins are the result of battles with the English
pirate Henry Morgan in 1671. There is a excellent new museum near the site, but go with someone who speaks Spanish, because
the exhibits are mostly in Spánish.
Casco Viejo is the Spanish colonial city established in 1671 after the downfall of Panama Vieja and until the 20th century
was Panama City. Perched on a piece of land that juts out into Panama Bay, the numerous fascinating sites reflect Panama's
history as it intertwined with Spain, France and the United States. A proper tour never fails to delight history buffs. But
again, it is worthwhile to hire a tour guide to regale you with the fascinating stories, not to mention take you around since
there are few sign posts and nothing in English. Highlights include the 17th century churchs including the Church of the Golden
Altar, the ruins of 17th century convents and residences, original dungeons, a French monument to the 22,000 who died building
the Panama Canal and the Panama Canal Museum in an elegant, restored building that once housed the headquarters of the French
company that attempted to build a sea level canal.

hole golf course designed by Tom Fazio with 7000 yards of blue marks, golf carts and bermuda grass. Tees for men, women and
