Natural beauty and delicious brews in Portland

Portland, Oregon, is well-known for its location on the West Coast, where residents and tourists have access to fresh seafood, beautiful mountains and lush forests. It is a place where people go to adventure outdoors, enjoy farmers markets and even take a bite out of some Voodoo Doughnuts. Take a trip to Portland to relax, enjoy some local food and drinks and enjoy the sea air. Check out these three attractions while you're in town:

Providence Park
Drive your Portland rental car to Providence Park to see the Portland Timbers Major League Soccer team, the National Women's Soccer League Portland Thorns and the Portland State University Viking football team. This versatile stadium was built in 1926, when it was called Multnomah Stadium. Since the 1950s, the facility was used for concerts like Elvis Presley as well as baseball, dog racing, college football and eventually soccer. The Portland Timbers have considered the park home base since 1975. The wood benches and upper seating bowl here have been in place since the field opened nearly 90 years ago. In 2011, a major renovation costing $40 million updated the field and stadium to the best technology and layout possible for the teams that play here. Today some high school sports such as soccer and football occasionally play here, along with musical artists, and other public and private events.

Sea to Summit Tours & Adventures
Do you have a taste for adrenaline and nature? Head to 4128 North Montana Avenue, where you can meet other tour-goers before heading to the incredible Columbia Gorge and Mount Hood. This amazing opportunity will bring you along the Historic Columbia River Highway to see waterfalls including the second tallest year round waterfall in North America. You'll visit the largest fish hatchery in Oregon, called Bonneville Dam, to see salmon, and then across the Bridge of the Gods to visit the Hood River. Depending on what the group wants, at this point you can stop at a winery or visit a fruit stand to stock up on some goodies and enjoy lunch surrounded by the beautiful Oregon countryside. Then you'll head on to the Timberline Lodge, famous for its role in "The Shining." You're sure to have incredible views and even likely some critter encounters while on this tour.

Rogue Ales Public House Brewery
One famous brewery in Portland is Rogue Ales. To see the location where these tasty brews are made, drive your Portland rental car to 1339 Northwest Flanders Street. This location started out as a couple friends owning a brewpub. A year later, in the basement, they started making their own beers. The first beverages they created were the American Amber and Oregon Golden. Today the Rogue brand can be spotted and purchased in liquor stores and bars across the country. For a particularly Oregonian brew, go for the hot pink Voodoo Doughnut varieties. They come in lemon chiffon crueller, peanut butter and banana and bacon maple ales.
