Pack a Valentine's picnic

Love is in the air. You've brought your significant other on a February business trip and even got a convertible car rental for the occasion. After attending conferences all day you're finally heading to the beach for a romantic night away. Add some fun and romance to your evening with a picnic!

The essentials
Bring one blanket to sit on and one to put around your date's shoulders - It might get chilly when the sun goes down. Pack eating utensils, a corkscrew, a lighter and a few candles in the trunk. Add a cooler with your preferred beverages and any necessary glassware. For a little extra ambiance on your special night, bring speakers to connect to your phone or music player and personalize a playlist of your favorite tunes.

The food
The important thing to remember about the food is it's the thought that counts. If you can't cook that's OK, bring pre-made food like ciabatta sandwiches and Waldorf salad or grab takeout from your date's favorite place. People who know their way around the kitchen can create their own delicious dishes. Just be sure to bring the right utensils or you'll be using your hands! And don't forget a sweet treat for after dinner. Chocolate-dipped strawberries or a box of candies are classics.
