Prepare for a trip: Think like a kid going to camp

Before you hop in a long term car rental and head in the direction of your destination, you have to pack for your trip. A great way to approach getting ready is as if you were a kid on your way to camp. We'll explain:
Bring the essentials
You never know what you'll need on your journey, so it doesn't help to be a little over-prepared. Pack a bag with the essential items you will need, such as a toothbrush, underwear, socks, chargers and maybe a swimsuit or golf outfit, depending on where you're headed. You might have some free time to enjoy local attractions, so don't fill your bag entirely with business clothes.
Grab some snacks
Sometimes you just want to drive until you arrive. You can't do that if you're distracted by hunger, and not all gas stations stock something you want to eat as you man the steering wheel. Pack a few snacks in a plastic bag and place it on the passenger seat. This way you can easily access them while driving. Just be sure to watch the road while opening that granola bar. Pull over if you need to take a minute to get your snack situated for easy eating.
