Sometimes getting sick seems like an unavoidable part of business travel. Whether it's the sleepless nights spent preparing for presentations or someone coughing on you on the airplane, it can be easy to feel under the weather. Use these simple tips for staying healthy on the road:
The process of staying healthy during business travel begins before the trip even starts. If you don't already, take a multivitamin a few days before you leave. This will give your immune system the boost it needs to more effectively fight against bacteria and infection on the road.
On long plane rides in particular, it's important to get up, move around and stretch your legs. Once you drive your car rental to the hotel, run a few miles on the treadmill to get out some energy, enhance your mood and pump up your endorphins.
Hands are one of the main ways that germs are spread - and business requires a lot of hand shaking - so keep some antibacterial wipes with you to clean your hands regularly. The same goes for the plane, so wipe off your tray table and arm rests when you sit down.
