Business travelers can attest that during their many miles out on the road, it pays to maintain a certain sense of brand loyalty. Whether it's with car rental companies, hotel chains or airlines, those perks of being a frequent customer can really make your trip much more enjoyable. From scoring upgrades on your long-haul flights to maximizing those credit card rewards, you can turn almost every one of your trips into another opportunity to win some awesome prizes.
"The key thing for business travel is frequent flier programs," Anne Banas, an executive editor at SmarterTravel, revealed to Business Insider during a recent interview. "You want to be brand loyal so you can get that elite status and have access to more perks and upgrades."
Aside from all the seating upgrades and other in-flight perks available through frequent flier programs, credit cards that offer rewards for purchases are also a great way to get the most out of your business-related travels. You should look for a card that offers rewards for a broad range of categories. This could include hitting a certain monthly expenditure or using your card at specific businesses, such as gas stations, restaurants, online retailers or other brick-and-mortar outlets. This way, you can gain points in almost every establishment you decide to drop some coin.
