So get in your rental car – and get ready to experience four places that offer a feast for the senses:

  • CityZen. 1330 Maryland Avenue. WINNER: Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic. Located at the beautiful Mandarin Oriental, CityZen’s expansive ceilings, open kitchen, dim lighting and 800-bottle wine collection add to the art of chef Eric Ziebold’s American (with a twist) cuisine.
  • Restaurant Eve. 110 South Pitt Street, Alexandria ,VA. NOMINEE: Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic. “Irish soul, American heart” is how Dublin native Chef Cathal Armstrong and his restaurant veteran wife, Meshelle Armstrong describe their restaurant. Located in Old Town, Alexandria, this beautiful 100-seat restaurant, is tucked away inside a historic warehouse building.
  • Cafe Atlantico. 405 8th Street NW. NOMINEE: Outstanding Chef. With cuisine described as Caribbean/Latin America fusion, chef José Andrés offers an array of bold and eclectic creations, in a three-level setting to match.
