What is the Blue Chip Reward Program?
This is a Reward Program where Blue Chip Members can earn credits and other "rewards", from time to time, on qualifying rentals at participating Thrifty locations in the US and Canada.
Who is Eligible?
This Program is open to all new and existing Blue Chip Members who indicate they want to participate in the Program. If you are already a Member, all you need to do is contact our Blue Chip Member Services lines (1-888-400-8877) or through the Internet by updating your profile at www.thrifty.com to indicate your participation in our Reward Program. To become a member in the Blue Chip Express Rental Program all you have to do is complete an application enrollment form available on thrifty.com or call our Member Services toll free number 1-888-400-8877 to have an application mailed or faxed to you. Blue Chip Enrollment Application Forms are also available at participating Thrifty Car Rental locations. Only one membership per person.
How Can You Earn Rewards?
Beginning March 5, 2004 the Program will award one free day ("Reward Certificate") when a Member earns 16 credits. Each rental day under the Program equals one credit. A rental day is based on a 24-hour rental day starting at the time of the rental. Bonus credits can be earned from time to time as offered by Thrifty. Members can begin earning credits towards a free day Reward Certificate redeemable in the US and Canada by indicating on the Enrollment Form that they want to participate in the Rewards Program or by adding it to your current profile. If Members choose to earn frequent traveler miles/points when they rent instead of Program credits, they must provide their frequent flyer number on the Enrollment Form. Renters are not entitled to both frequent/flyer miles and Program credits. Members may change their Reward selection at any time by contacting Blue Chip Member Services line at 1-888-400-8877 or by modifying their profile on thrifty.com.
Members and travel agents/managers must provide the Blue Chip Member number at the time they make a reservation or at the time of rental in order to receive Program credits. If you have indicated on your profile that you want to earn Blue Chip Reward credits instead of frequent/flyer miles, every rental day under the Program will qualify for at least one credit. Only one Blue Chip Member number per rental.
Blue Chip Rewards Program Members can earn credits on qualifying rentals at participating Thrifty locations in the US and Canada . Neither Membership in the Program or Program credits is transferable. Credits will not be awarded on rentals when the renter has violated the terms of the Rental Agreement. Credits earned are valid for one year from the date of issue, provided the Program is still in existence. Membership may be terminated at company's discretion if no rental activity takes place and/or no credits are accrued during an 18-month period. All credits in the account will be forfeited at that time. If your Blue Chip Membership is terminated, all credits earned will revert back to Thrifty and are not redeemable or transferable to another Blue Chip Member.
Members should allow at least 3 to 4 weeks from the conclusion of rental for credits to be posted to the Rewards account.
Industry discount rates, tour rates, complimentary and certificate rentals do not qualify for reward credits.
Free Day Certificates cannot be used on tour rates.

How Can I Use Reward Credits?
Reward certificates are available for use on rentals of compact through full size cars. Reward certificates may only be redeemed for rentals within the US and Canada , according to the renting locations terms and conditions, subject to availability and must be surrendered at time of transaction.
Vehicles must be returned to the original renting location. Reward certificates apply to contracted time and mileage only. Members are responsible for governmental surcharges, taxes, tax reimbursement, vehicle license fees, airport related fees, fuel purchase option, refueling, excess mileage charge, and any optional services or products. Renter must have a valid drivers license, meet our age requirements and fulfill other criteria then being applied to renters.
General.
Members should allow at least 4 to 6 weeks for credits to be processed and for delivery of a Reward Certificate. Member will be notified by e-mail when they have qualified for a Reward Certificate. Notice will be sent to the e-mail address listed in their Blue Chip Profile. Reward Certificates will be mailed to the home address listed in their Blue Chip Profile. Reward Certificates are valid for twelve months (1 year) from date of issue. Reward Certificates are not replaceable, transferable or combinable with any other promotion, offer or non-discountable rate. Multiple Reward Certificates may used on the same rental. Altered or photocopied Reward Certificates will not be honored.
Reward Certificates are void where prohibited by law. Thrifty has the right to change, limit or modify Program rules, regulations, rewards and credit levels at anytime and without notice. Thrifty has the right to end the Program by providing six month's prior written notice to actively participating members. In the event of termination of the Program, Reward Certificates must be redeemed by the expiration date or they will be forfeited. The Program may be suspended or terminated if events beyond company's control such as computer equipment or electronic data transmission failure, strikes, natural disaster, civil disturbance or war materially affect the company's ability to perform the program.
