Have a Big Time in your Boston Rental Car

Nature’s beauty, American history, sports, nightlife, culinary culture and more combine to make Boston a must-see destination with plenty to do. Explore the spots below to plan your trip, hop in your Boston rental car and enjoy one of the most happening and historic cities in the U.S.

Belle Isle Marsh Reservation
Drive your Thrifty rental car down to Bennington Street in East Boston to see this picturesque salt marsh. Similar marshes were once common in the area, but Belle Isle Marsh is the last of its kind in Boston. Strolling its shores gives you a unique glimpse of fish, shellfish and plants, many of which are seldom seen outside the area.

Fenway Park
Set your GPS to 4 Yawkey Way — true Baseball fans know it to be the historic home of the Boston Red Sox and one of baseball’s most iconic ballparks. In addition to catching a game from one of Boston’s storied teams, you can enjoy a tour featuring insider tales about famous players like Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski and many others.

Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum
306 Congress Street is your chance to see where history was made. Just head over to the end of the Congress Street Bridge to see the Old South Meeting House, where the Boston Tea Party met and planned events that changed American history forever.

The Freedom Trail
It’s just two and a half miles long, but this red brick-lined road in downtown Boston features a wealth of historic sites. You can go for a leisurely walk along the Freedom Trail to see the Old State House, which is one of the country’s oldest surviving public buildings and a history museum. You can also check out the Paul Revere House and King’s Chapel Burying Ground, a cemetery where John Withrop and two Mayflower passengers are buried. Other sites along the Freedom Trail include locations where key events in the American Revolution occurred, a statue of Ben Franklin, the storied Navy ship, the USS Constitution, as well as historic churches and cemeteries.

Miss Worcester Diner
Experience 1940s-style diner cuisine at its best at the wonderful Miss Worcester Diner on 300 Southbridge Street in Worcester. It’s a historic diner that offers a variety of breakfast classics in an always-welcoming atmosphere. Plus, the prices are old fashioned, too. Just a few dollars buys a full spread of breakfast fare.

Mr. Dooley’s Boston Tavern
Over at 77 Broad Street get ready for a cold drink served in an authentic Irish pub. Drinks are poured and mixed with care, the menu is full of pub favorites and everything is served with a smile. In the evenings, Mr. Dooley’s is the perfect setting for live music, a game or conversation.
