Vacation in Grand Junction with a Rental Car
Grand Junction is the largest city in Southwest Colorado. It’s a small town with a lot going on and has several unique attractions you won’t find elsewhere. Pick up your rental car at Grand Junction Regional Airport or drive over from Denver, Grand Junction is off the beaten path and will be a trip to remember.
Colorado’s Many Seasons
Unlike the other major cities in Colorado, Grand Junction is not known for its skiing and does not attract many tourists during the winter months. The citys’ best attractions are the Rockies, and travelers to Grand Junction prefer to explore them on foot, horse, mountain bike, or river raft. Several outfitters are in the area to help you plan the perfect adventure. The spring and summer seasons are the busiest, but spending fall in Grand Junction is also ideal. Grand Junction is known for fall color and is the home to many orchards and wineries.
Discover the Dinosaurs
Grand Junction is one of the few places to find an array of dinosaur museums, fossil digs and artifact hiking trails. As part of the "Dinosaur Diamond" geological area, remnants of the extinct beasts can be found throughout the city. To explore and learn about the dinos, self-guided quarry tours at Riggs Hill dinosaur hiking trails and Dinosaur Digs are popular attractions.
Hit the Highway
