Massachusetts Car Rental

Head out east for your next vacation and discover the historical and cultural attractions that make Massachusetts one of the most frequented tourist destinations in the U.S. — make sure you book your Massachusetts rental car ahead of time, so you can get going from the runway to the iconic city of Boston and beyond.

Drive around and discover firsthand why Boston is known as the cultural hub of New England. Walk the cobblestone streets of our forefathers along the Freedom Trail. Many residents and tourists appreciate the fact that Boston has a high walkability rating. The Freedom Trail was one of the first historic walking tours created in the United States. Discover the Colonial Revolutionary Boston trail as you walk around the city to see the 16 historical landmarks. To walk the complete trail will likely take between two or three hours, so plan your day accordingly.

Hop on board the U.S.S. Constitution Museum and explore the longstanding history of the ship. The ship holds artifacts and exhibits detailing the history of the ship and the men who sailed on her. Another beautiful, historic site you can't miss is the Trinity Church. Located in the heart of Boston's Back Bay, the American church is ranked as one of the most significant architectural landmarks in the United States.

Island Hopping
If you're planning your travels to Massachusetts during the summer months, consider taking a ferry ride over to Martha's Vineyard. Stay at one of the island's bed and breakfast lodging accommodations and you'll feel right at home. The island is a great location to indulge in outdoor activities. Sign up for game fishing on one of the local boat charter expeditions, or leave your Massachusetts rental car at your lodging, and rent bikes to discover the natural beauty around the island.

After an activity-filled day, no one will bother you about lounging on one of the gorgeous beaches scattered throughout the island. Watch surfers tackle the waves at Katama, or South Beach, or stretch your legs on one of the walking trails near the Long Point Wildlife Refuge beach location. Even though the iconic film, Jaws, was filmed on the shores of Martha's Vineyard, it's highly unlikely you'll encounter a great white shark.

Set aside some time to drive your Massachusetts car rental around the different towns throughout the island. Discover quaint book stores in Oak Bluffs, Tisbury, and Vineyard Haven. You'll also find several art galleries throughout the towns, featuring works from local artists.
