The Elberta Train Depot
The origins of this now-significant landmark are shrouded in mystery. In the early days, The Elberta Train Depot served the residents of Houston County as a whistle stop for transporting produce to the surrounding area since the 1800s. When the train did not stop anymore, the depot began to be used as a warehouse for many years.

As a myth of the city for many, the old Depot was re-discovered inside four walls of an existing building some years later. The City of Warner Robins moved the Elberta Train Depot in 2003. Navigate to Armed Forces Boulevard in your Thrifty rental car to discover the permanent home of this Train Depot and uncover the history and mystery for yourself.

Mildred’s Country Store
Built sometime around 1900, Mildred’s Country Store has moved several times with all of the original architecture intact. Finding its permanent home now on “Depot Row,” Mildred’s Country Store is a museum that represents one of the first buildings in the history and development of Warner Robins. Inside this quaint building, you’ll find many antiques, souvenirs and pieces of rich history — some of which were used in the early days of the store’s opening.

The Museum of Aviation
One of the largest education-focused aviation attractions in the country, this historic aircraft collection features 90 birds that will bring a crowd. And as of 2015, the museum has added a new B-17 Flying Fortress exhibit — an attraction over 30 years in the making.

Whether you’re seeking an education or some inspiration, The Museum of Aviation is the place to find real heroes, experience wonder and excitement, feel gratitude for service and sacrifice, learn about Air Force roles and missions and participate in superb education programs. And the best part? Parking your Warner Robins rental car is free, as is the admission to the museum!
