Lambeau Field
Drive your Milwaukee rental car to 1265 Lombardi Avenue to cheer for the Green Bay Packers. This field is used all year long to host National Football League games, concerts and more. It features all the latest amenities for the team, like a huge training room, therapy pools, a weight room, a basketball court and a racquet ball court so the beloved team can rest up and train to be in the best shape possible. The stadium has been undergoing renovations from 2011 that are set to be completed in 2015. This has included upgrading and expanding the south end-zone, work on the stadium sound and video experience and renovations to the atrium. The largest home crowd at this stadium was an October 2013 game against Detroit when 78,200 people packed the stands in the newly renovated facility. The actual capacity is 80,735 seats, and with the exhilarating close-call games of the 2014 season, it'll be no surprise if they reach that limit during future seasons. Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary
Visit this 700-acre urban wildlife refuge to see live animal exhibits, hike, cross-country ski and learn about the area flora and fauna. Established in 1936 as a place to rehabilitate waterfowl, this site has grown into a full-blown wildlife sanctuary that cares for over 4,500 injured and orphaned animals each year. Entrance to the park is available year-round and there is no cost. When you visit, you can use a handy bird checklist to keep track of the flying residents of the area while on a self-guided tour of the extensive trails. There are also great opportunities for children and students to learn about migration, habitats and ecosystems here. Check the calendar to see if there are any events occurring when you visit. There is a plethora of classes hosted here, from yoga to beekeeping, so you're sure to find something fun and educational to do here.
Bay Beach Amusement Park
Children and the young at heart love this awesome amusement park. Drive your Milwaukee rental car here to take a ride on boats and bumper cars or hop on the Ferris wheel. Cool off on the giant slide or take a spin in a helicopter or granny bug. If spinning's your thing, hop in the Scat or on the Scrambler. Want to fly in a miniature military plane? Try out the Sky Fighters ride. Everyone loves a high-flying swing ride - be sure to try out the Yo-Yo. The newest edition to the park, the Zippin Pippin, is a 2,500-foot roller coaster built in 2011. You'll want to bring a camera to capture the looks of delight on your family's faces at this fantastic amusement park.
