Sports Authority Field at Mile High

Got Broncomania? Don your blue and orange and head to the National Football League's oldest stadium, located in Denver. This spot has seen the most NFL games out of any in use today. Monday Night Football originated here in 1973 with the first ever nationally televised Monday night game. Originally built for the Denver Bears, a minor league baseball team, this stadium doubled its seats for the Bronco's first game in 1960 and currently has 76,125 seats in its five levels. The Broncos have been one of the most winning teams in NFL history, since the AFL-NFL merger of 1970. Grab a seat and become a witness to history!

The Colorado Rockies

If you're afraid of heights, this may not be the place for you. Colorado boasts 75 percent of the land area over 10,000 feet in the U.S. The Rockies are a part of the North American Cordillera, which stretches 3,000 miles from Alaska through Canada, to the U.S. and Northern Mexico. Colorado alone claims 52 "Fourteeners", or peaks of over 14,000 feet, that are beloved climbing opportunities for residents and visitors alike. Gear up and get on their level!

Cherry Creek

Just five minutes from downtown Denver, this 16-block neighborhood houses something for everyone. If shopping's your thing, head to one of several shopping centers, like Cherry Creek North, the largest grouping of independently owned stores in the U.S., where 73 percent of businesses are locally owned. Visitors from over 50 miles away should stop at the guest services desk and ask for a "Passport to Shopping", a pamphlet full of discounts and offers to over 60 retailers. After a long day of shopping there are over 60 salons and spas to choose from to relax and rejuvenate before a night on the town. For dinner, head to a top notch restaurant like Elway's, a steakhouse owned by the current general manager, and former quarterback, of the Denver Broncos. Think Colorado rack of lamb with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. You'll need it after your eventful day!
