Let’s Put the Car in Scarborough

Enjoy your Scarborough rental car as you soak in the sights and sounds of the culturally diverse Scarborough section of Toronto. The area is home to large populations of South Asian, Filipino, Black Canadian and Chinese residents. This diversity is reflected in the many unique restaurants and shops in this part of town.

NextRelic

Can you and your friends solve the investigative mystery and complete the room-escape challenge? Your group will be locked in a puzzling room and have one hour to work together using clues — and your smarts — to find your way out. If you love puzzles, you’ll love this relatively new and very exciting form of mind-blowing entertainment.

Toronto Zoo

Get in touch with your wild side by driving your Thrifty rental car over to Canada’s premier zoo. Meet Canada’s first giant panda cubs, explore the African Rain Forest, plus, see kangaroos and polar bears and all sorts of other creatures among the 5000+ animals that call the zoo home.

The Bluffs

Along Lake Ontario and the Toronto waterfront are the Scarborough Bluffs. It is a truly picturesque place to hike on trails, have a picnic, camp out or sail around the marina. The bluffs themselves are the geological result of sedimentary deposit accumulation and wind and water erosion, and they stand about 25 looming stories tall. The area features several different parks, such as Bluffer’s Park, which is Toronto’s only full service marina.

Scenic Caves Nature Adventures

Just outside the Scarborough and Toronto area, you can explore the fascinating depths of scenic caves, caverns and trails. Take in the sights as you make your way across Southern Toronto’s longest suspension bridge. Go for a heart-pumping ride on the Thunderbird Twin Zip Line. And if that’s a little too much of an adrenaline rush, there’s mini golf and a trout pond for a more tranquil experience.

Scarborough Museum

Take a ride in your Thrifty rental car into Scarborough’s past. This quaint museum is located on the scenic trails of Thomson Memorial Park, which used to be part of a 200-acre farm. It tells the colorful history of the community’s first settlers, bridging rich heritage with the present day.

Guild Park

Travel deep into Scarborough’s architectural history by enjoying nature among the amazing remnants of 50 demolished buildings featured in Guild Park. In addition to these impressive monuments to the past, the 88-acre park is also home to several gardens and trails. The Greek Theatre is an outdoor stage that hosts performances such as Shakespeare in the Park.
