Head to the entertainment capital of the world: Los Angeles
Take a trip to the entertainment capital of the world: Los Angeles. In the City of Angels, you will find the Walk of Fame, a series of sidewalks covered in hand prints and signatures from well-known movie stars. You might even spot a real celeb shopping on Melrose Avenue or in Larchmont Village. Spend a day or two here and you're likely to run into a movie set or photo shoot on the street or even the beach. There's plenty to do outside of Hollywood too. Check out these Los Angeles attractions to enjoy the beautiful weather and see some celebrated sights:
Dodger Stadium
Drive your Los Angeles rental car to 1000 Elysian Park Avenue to see the Los Angeles Dodgers Major League Baseball team play against an opponent. This facility is the third-oldest continually used MLB park in the nation. It can be found on the hillside of Chavez Ravine, and game attendees can see downtown L.A. and the San Gabriel Mountains from the stands. While this stadium was being built, the Dodgers played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum until the 56,000-seat facility was completed. The team played its first game in front of 52,564 fans in the newly constructed ballpark, which was the first privately funded field since Yankee Stadium in 1923. Parking is carved into the rocks, just like the stadium, and holds a total of 16,000 vehicles. There have been eight World Series Championships held here as well as musical concerts for Michael Jackson and the Beatles. The 1984 Summer Olympic baseball competition was held here, as was a mass led by Pope John Paul ll. At this field, you're sure to have a beautiful view of the city and the players hard at work in their historical home.
