SMS Alerts Terms and Conditions

Please read the following information on our Thrifty Mobile Alerts service by SMS:


SMS messages are distributed via third party mobile network providers and, as a result, Thrifty cannot control certain factors relating to message delivery. Depending on the recipient's mobile provider service, it may not be possible to transmit the SMS message to the recipient successfully.

Thrifty does not claim or guarantee availability or performance of this service, including liability for transmission delays or message failures. You will receive four messages per transaction.


To opt-in, please text *TBD* to short code *TBD*. You will receive 4 messages per reservation.

Change of mobile phone number

If you choose to change the mobile phone number on your Thrifty Blue Chip profile, you will need to opt in and respond to the SMS opt in message again. If you change the mobile phone number to a non-US number you will automatically be opted out of receiving Mobile Alerts by SMS.


You may Opt-out by text messaging the letters STOP to the short code *TBD* in response to any Mobile Alert SMS you receive from Thrifty from your mobile device.


Thrifty does not charge a fee for this service. However, we are not responsible for any charges from a person’s service provider that may result from our providing this service. Message and data rates may apply. It is the user's responsibility to check with their individual carrier, as other charges may apply. Thrifty assumes no responsibility for charges incurred by signing up for this text-messaging service. Any text-messaging fees that you incur will be billed on your individual wireless bill.


At any time, you can get additional help by texting the word HELP to the short code (*Need to confirm) in response to any Thrifty Mobile Alert SMS from your mobile device. Or you can call 1-800-334-1705.

Compatible carriers include: AT&T, T-Mobile*, Metro PCS, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Nextel, Boost, Alltel, U.S. Cellular, and Cellular One.
