Come visit The Show Me State: Missouri

Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the Little House on the Prairie series grew up in Missouri. She loved her state and chances are you will too! Check out these excellent options for inexpensive and relaxing fun. From beer to a house that is futuristic yet frozen in time, Missouri has a lot to offer.

Arrowhead Stadium

The opening game at this stadium was played in August 1972, when the home team, the Kansas City Chiefs, played the St. Louis Cardinals. The Chiefs were initially called the Kansas City Texans as they were a merger between The Texans and Kansas City teams. Jack Steadman, the general manager, convinced the two teams' owners to change the name to the Chiefs. Steadman went on to become executive vice president and general manager before becoming president of the Chiefs, and eventually the teams' chairman of the board as well as a member of the Chiefs Hall of Fame. He has since retired but the legacy of this stadium, which was his idea, lives on.
